Her father was the former publisher for The Olympian Newspaper in Washington. After her graduation from Tallahassee Florida's high school she began studying in Boston University. Later, the school transferred her into Rhodes College and University of Florida. Since her childhood, she was fascinated by performing arts, and began classes in dancing and acting. in 2006 Lucy's Piano was her first role as an actor. The college she attended was her last in order to relocate to LA and pursue an acting profession. Following her performance in a major role in 2009's film 17 Again she appeared playing the role of Alice McKee in the fantasy action film Blood: The Last Vampire. It was her first major TV breakthrough when she starred in the lead role in the series titled Kings in the year 2009. She's also had a prominent role in various other series like Terra Nova Go On or Selfie. In the more recent years she played one of the leading characters in the drama about families series A Million Little Things and an additional role in the series titled 13 Reasons Why.
