Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she won the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father, who is a theatre professor at one of Romania's most prestigious theater schools, also a theatre teacher. The Mangalia Gala, which is a celebration of Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. She was selected as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. The Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her professional career. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca played roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well the Romanian Drama Boogie. Later she was the role of Irma's German grandmother in Fury that was released in 2014.
